This is virtuoso, three movement piece regarded by pianist as sonata. It was named sonatina by the composer because of subject and formal development. The form is cyclical with wide melodic. 

The first movement has a form of sonata allegro. The second movement consists of six variations: Piu mosso, Allegro scherzando, Allegretto, Tempo, Allegro quasi presto and Grave. This part can be performed as a separate piece and it is based on the folk melody from Kurpie region called A gdzież moje konie wrone. The third movement has a form of sonata allegro and consists of double-subject exposition, transposition, reprise and coda.
