A composer writing all types of instrumental and vocal music. He wrote more than 380 pieces all of them at the commission of different orchestras, performers, musicians or theatres. His adventure with music started as an organist before the Second World War. He continued his music education during the Nazi occupation and later founded, directed and taught in music school in Plock city. Eventually he became an academic lecturer and professor in the Higher State Music School in ?ód? and later in the Higher State Music School in Warsaw, where he became a dean and rector. This school changed its name to the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in 1979, and again in 2008 to the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.

The creative oeuvre of Tadeusz Paciorkiewicz includes all genres of instrumental and vocal music. It ranges from ballet and opera works, cantata and oratorio works, symphonies, choir works, chamber works to works for soloists and wind bands, and to cinematic and theatrical music.
