Tadeusz Paciorkiewicz

A composer writing all types of instrumental and vocal music. He wrote more than 370 pieces all of them at the commission of different orchestras, performers, musicians or theatres. His adventure with music started as an organist before the Second World War. He continued his music education during the Nazi occupation and later founded, directed and taught in music school in Płock city. Eventually he became an academic lecturer and professor in the Higher State Music School in Łódź and later in the Higher State Music School in Warsaw, where he became a dean and rector. This school changed its name to the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in 1979, and again in 2008 to the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
