I Introduction

The piece was composed on the occasion of blessing the new organ in St. Zygmunt church in Bielany in Warsaw. The dominant technique of this one movement composition is polyphony.

Improvisation for organ

This is one movement piece with the three section internal structure. The first section has a homophonic texture, the second has a fugata form and the third with inverted form against the first one. The piece was published by PWM in 1977 together with Postludium.

Sonatina for piano

This is a four movements piece – Allegro / Andante espressivo / Alegretto scherzando / Allegro giocoso – in cyclical form. The fourth movement – Allegro giocoso – has a form of rondo with features of sonata allegro. This part is based on Polish national folk dances such as kujawiak and oberek.Â
