Flute Quintet

The piece was composed for the flute player Mrs. Elżbieta Gajewska and Wilanow Quartet in 1974. However personal changes in the Quartet delayed the work and it was finally finished in 1988. It is a composition in the sonata form with three contrasting movements.

Piano Quintet

This three movement composition with the form close to sonata was written for the Warsaw Piano Quintet. The movements are contrasting. The first one is a free form of sonata allegro and features thematic dualism, develpoment and reprise. The second movement has a peaceful character. Each repetition

The piece is composer’s tribute to French impressionists and has a lot of stylistic allusions referring to them. This composition was later transcripted for piano and five wind instruments as Music for Piano, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon (1972).

Oberek – for 2 pianos

Composition written for educational purposes in the tempo and form of a Polish lively dance Oberek – one of five Polish national dances – for two pianos for children. The exact year of composition is not known but it was written between 1967 and 1977.

Preludes for Wind Quintet

The piece was commisioned by the Wind Quintet of the Polish Radio and TV in Katowice.
